Poem

I am the uncomfortable middle
The child's dream
The in between riddle pull-pushing myself
In the breaks between wishes
Into clothes too large--
A gift to grow in to, no need to repay
They say

Forgetting the implications
I'm swinging my arms, my legs
Wide, wide, wide,
Constricted in everything but time
